Moses Basena: Former Uganda Cranes coach secures job in Tanzania
Former Uganda Cranes assistant head coach Moses Basena has landed a lucrative job at Tanzania Premier League side Ihefu SC.
The development comes in just over a month since he was relieved of his duties in FUFA's general shuffles, which also had Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic sacked as head coach.
"Our club has reached an agreement with Ugandan coach Moses Basena to lead our team as head coach," Ifehu FC confirmed on their social media handles.
"Basena is a highly regarded coach in East Africa and will now head our technical bench," they added.

Besides serving as Uganda Cranes deputy head coach, he also served as an interim head coach, with the latter following Micho's initial departure.
At Ihefu, he comes in as a direct replacement for Tanzanian national Zuber Katwila, who parted ways with the club having been in the position for the past three years.
Basena has previously had coaching stints at Sunrise FC in Rwanda, URA FC, Simba SC, KCCA FC, UPDF FC and SC Villa.
In the 2023/24 Tanzania Premier League season, Ihefu occupies eighth on the log with six points from five games.
