LaLiga has locked in over €6.135 billion in domestic audiovisual revenues for the 2027/28 to 2031/32 cycle, a 9% increase from the previous deal, with President Javier Tebas hailing it as "excellent news" for Spanish football's sustainability.​

This package alone exceeds €5.25 billion, up 6% from the €4.95 billion of the 2022-2027 cycle, averaging €1.05 billion annually.​

Telefonica and DAZN secured the Spanish residential rights for LaLiga EA SPORTS, each broadcasting five top-flight matches per matchday over five seasons.

The total encompasses €650 million from HORECA (commercial premises, up 30%), €175 million from LaLiga Hypermotion (second division, up 40%), and €60 million from free-to-air and highlights rights.

This growth highlights LaLiga's robust commercialization amid a challenging media landscape.​

Tebas Praises Strategic Wins

Javier Tebas, a self-confessed Real Madrid fan, emphasised, “In today’s complex domestic and international landscape, securing over €6.135 billion in domestic rights and an overall growth of 9%, equivalent to more than €500 million over the previous cycle, is excellent news for the financial sustainability of our Clubs and the future of Spanish professional football.”

He credited anti-piracy efforts, tech investments, and club enhancements for broadcaster trust and record highs.

“This result reflects the strength of our product and the trust of broadcasters, largely driven by our committed fight against piracy, which has helped increase operators’ user bases, and by the Clubs' dedication to enhancing audiovisual contentand offering the best possible fan experience,”he added.

At a time when many leagues are experiencing declining media values, LALIGA’s continued growth and record highs are especially significant. ​
