Messi and Ronaldo: Football icons show off vacation beach photos on Instagram

Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have risen to the top of the trends on social media.

Messi and Ronaldo both took to their official social media platforms to show off how they were spending their vacation.

While preparing for his Inter Miami debut, Messi was seen having fun on vacation.

On July 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET, Messi is scheduled to be introduced as an Inter Miami player. 

Since his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired on June 30, he has been an unrestricted free agent.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup champion is presently recharging before making his MLS club debut.

He posted a photo on his official Instagram account with a message that said, "Vacay."

The vacation for Messi comes after he was featured in his first movie, Los Protectores.

As a part of Al Nassr's preseason training camp, Ronaldo is in the Algarve.

A picture of Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodrguez jet skiing off the Algarve coast in Alvor, Portimao, has been uploaded on social media.

The picture has almost 10 million "likes" on Instagram alone and is captioned with the emojis "#LoveYoy" and "wave".

Ronaldo's latest social media picture comes after he dispelled issues in his relationship with Rodriguez.

The 38-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo is presently taking part in preseason training with Al Nassr in the Algarve.

The Saudi Arabian team faces FC Alverca at 8:30 p.m. in Albufeira's municipal stadium.

On Friday, July 14 at 8.30 p.m. at Algarve Stadium, Ronaldo's team will play Algarvian club Farense in the sec14,ond friendly. 

The matches against Celta de Vigo on July 17 and against SL Benfica for the Troféu do Algarve preseason competition on July 20 look to be the highlights of the preseason calendar.
