Rashford returned to the team against Newcastle but was left on the bench after recently recovering from an injury.
The England International got injured in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry and has since then missed some games.
The forward has struggled with his form this season, having scored eight goals and five assists which has led to a lot of grumbles from fans.
Rashford confrontation with fans
Rashford, along with the other United substitutes, had been stretching near the touchline before the start of the game.
During the warm-up session before the game, Rashford had a heated argument with one of the fans in the stand.
The attacker appeared to be storming out of the group as Antony and Christian Eriksen attempted to stop him.
According to reports from the Sun, social media footage revealed that Rashford had previously engaged in a contentious back-and-forth with a fan.

He was later spotted turning to face the stand before making his way to the pitch's edge as he confronted one of the fans.
Rashford was later dragged away from the fans by his teammates as they tried to stop the heated argument.
