Speaking ahead of the crunch tie, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was asked about the possibility of his players being overwhelmed by the occasion.
The Gunners boss said: “No. And if they are, I will just say: ‘I will kill them.’ And I don’t want that at all.”
Arsenal have dropped points after being held by Liverpool, West Ham, and Southampton in their last three games but despite the difficulty attached to defeating City at the Etihad, Arteta insists his players will relish the opportunity.
“Yeah, it’s going to be a tough night and challenge but the opportunity is incredible for us. We knew from the beginning, if you want to win the Premier League, you have to go to Man City and beat them."
Arsenal are five points clear of Man City, having played two games more.
