Lesotho vs Nigeria: Sevilla hype up Akor Adams after Super Eagles debut goal
Adams made a dream debut for the Nigerian national team on Friday, scoring a late winner to secure a crucial 2-1 victory over Lesotho in a tense World Cup qualifier.
The Super Eagles' 2026 World Cup campaign was hanging by a thread until Adams found the net in the 80th minute.
Coming on as a second-half substitute for Tolu Arokodare, Adams received a pass from Osimhen and beat his marker with ease before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper.
Sevilla celebrate Adams
Sevilla were quick to celebrate the striker's achievement on social media after the Super Eagles’ win over Lesotho.
The club's official X account shared Nigeria's goal announcement with a simple, enthusiastic caption: "Akorrrrr!"
This was followed by a series of posts praising their player, including "Akor with a late winner on his debut" and "First game ☑️. First goal. We mount."

With his first international appearance, Adams joins an exclusive list of Nigerian players who have achieved the same feat, including Obafemi Martins, Julius Aghahowa and Stephen Makinwa.
After scoring in back-to-back La Liga games before the international break, Adams will be looking to continue his impressive run when Nigeria faces Benin on Tuesday.
