Spanning three months and six iconic locations, the upcoming season promises to be a high-octane showcase of speed, skill, and the growing competitive depth of Kenyan rugby.

The 2026 circuit will kick off in Nakuru with the fan-favourite Prinsloo 7s on July 25 and 26. Known for its electric atmosphere at the Nakuru Athletic Club, this opening leg will set the tempo for the entire series.

Teams will then travel to the lakeside for the Dala 7s in Kisumu on the first weekend of August, followed by a return to the capital for the historic Kabeberi 7s.

The mid-season heat will rise as the circuit heads to the coast for the Driftwood 7s in Mombasa. A significant highlight this year is the inclusion of the Embu 7s as a core leg in early September, rewarding the region for its consistent growth and passion for the game.

The grand finale will take place at the RFUEA Ground with the Christie 7s, where the overall national champion will be crowned.

Raising the Stakes

This year’s calendar is particularly significant as it serves as a critical scouting ground for the national teams. With Kenya also set to host international fixtures, including the HSBC SVNS Division Two earlier in the year, the domestic circuit provides a vital platform for local talent to stake their claim for a spot in the Shujaa or Lionesses squads.

Fans can expect a festival-like atmosphere at every stop, featuring top-tier hospitality, music, and, most importantly, the unmatched intensity of seven-a-side rugby.

As the countdown to the Prinsloo 7s begins, the rugby fraternity is ready for a season that promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
