A dominant second-half performance saw KCB Rugby secure another convincing victory, defeating a resilient Kisumu RFC 41-10 in a Kenya Cup match at Mamboleo Grounds.

The win, which included a bonus point, moves KCB to 10 points on the league table, maintaining their perfect record after two rounds of the campaign.

In the early stages, the home side frustrated the Bankers, enjoying significant possession but struggling to penetrate KCB's solid defensive line. Kisumu, known as the "Brave Hearts," eventually broke the deadlock late in the first quarter when Walter Ambe successfully kicked a penalty to give them a 3-0 lead.

Despite continuing to challenge KCB, particularly in the lineouts, Kisumu was hampered by strong winds that affected their clearances. Andrew Amonde's KCB side finally responded from a five-metre scrum, with Bramwel Kilwake touching down near the posts. Elvis Namusasi converted to put the visitors ahead 7-3.

Kisumu fought back, but could not contain Floyd Wabwire, who scored KCB's second try on the outside channel. Namusasi's conversion attempt was unsuccessful, and the teams headed into halftime with KCB leading 12-3.

The Bankers came out firing after the break, scoring immediately on their first entry into Kisumu's 22. Kilwake secured his brace, though the subsequent conversion was missed.

Substitute Branton Lusisa, a former Kisumu player on loan from Kabras, then beat his markers to score against his old team, extending the lead to 22-3 after another missed kick.

KCB then shifted into a higher gear, running in quick tries through Sikutwa and Samuel Asati in opposite corners to build a commanding 34-3 advantage.

Lusisa added to Kisumu's woes with his second try of the match, which was successfully converted, pushing the score to 41-3. Despite the deficit, the Brave Hearts battled on and were rewarded for their efforts with a late converted try, bringing the final score to 41-10 at the final whistle.

Kabras Sugar 58-0 Daystar Falcons

Kabras Sugar ran riot in Lukenya, overpowering Daystar Falcons 58–0 in a dominant Kenya Cup outing built almost entirely on forward supremacy.

The league giants struck early with two converted maul tries before Teddy Akala added a brace—both again from rolling mauls—to stretch the lead to 24–0. Kevin Wekesa then bulldozed through for the fifth try as Kabras continued to dictate every collision and set-piece.

The second half was a continuation of the one-way traffic. Eugene Sifuna finished another maul, Wekesa produced a stunning coast-to-coast score, and Jeanson Misoga sealed the afternoon with the final try as Kabras maintained a clean sheet.

It was a statement performance from the sugar millers, who showcased both power and precision to leave Falcons without answers.

Menengai Oilers 97-06 Impala

Menengai Oilers delivered a ruthless attacking display at Impala Grounds, dismantling the hosts 97–6 in one of the most lopsided Kenya Cup results of the season.

Early tries from John Okoth and Denis Abukuse set the tone before Samwel Mwaura and Samwel Were added to the tally, all converted by the reliable Omela.

By halftime, Oilers had already stormed to a 59–6 lead, and the onslaught continued after the break as the Nakuru-based side ran in try after try against an overwhelmed Impala outfit. With sharp interplay, superior pace, and relentless support lines, Oilers simply proved uncontainable on the day, cruising to a resounding 97-point haul.
