Uganda's top seed Brian Kasirye will start his such for a singles medal at the ongoing Africa mixed badminton championships in the second round.

Kasirye received a bye at the draws on Thursday afternoon in Johannesburg, South Africa.

He will wait for the winner between Lesotho's Rahlolo Neo and Mawire Blessing from Zimbabwe.

The other draws in the ladies' event saw Husina Kobugabe pitted against Algeria's Celia Mounib, and Naluwoza Tracey against Lesotho's Moeletsi Refiloe.

While Mbabazi Gladys and Fadilah Mohammed Rafi were drawn against Algeria's Chiba Yasmina and Mauritius's Kate Ludik, respectively.

For the men, Muzafaru Lubega will battle Zambia's Chongo Mulenga, Owinyi Augustus will square off with Cameroon's Nolem Pascal while Expeddito Emuddu Mwambu will face Algeria's Mohammed Balerbi.
