Kamaru Usman: Nigerian Nightmare explains Conor McGregor's delayed UFC return

Regarding Conor McGregor's unexpected withdrawal from UFC 303, where he was supposed to compete in an octagon for the first time in three years, Kamaru Usman recently offered his opinion.

The Irishman's long-awaited comeback versus Michael Chandler produced the largest gate in the history of the promotion.

The fight between the former two-division UFC champion and Chandler has been officially postponed, according to Dana White.

Consequently, a number of competitors and pundits have responded to the news by speculating on the possible time and location of the match.

Usman mentioned that "The Notorious'" decision to back out of the event would really be a good thing during a recent Pound 4 Pound podcast episode.

Michael Chandler, who has been patient throughout the process, is also impacted by the Irishman withdrawing from the bout, according to the former welterweight champion.

Usman stated that even though there has been a delay, he sees it as a sign that McGregor wants to make sure he is ready for battle.

He said, "Michael Chandler, now once again, is sitting twiddling his thumbs.

"There's a lot of things that go into a fight like this. There's a lot of preparation and it seems like it just continues to be pulled away. It's

like dangling a carrot in front of him.

"It sucks, but good on Conor [McGregor] for being able to say you know what, I'm not prepared

enough to go in there."

Usman is now rumored to return to the octagon for a UFC fight against Shavkat Rahkmonov.
