Juventus have pulled out of talks to sign Fenerbahçe striker Youssef En-Nesyri after the player raised concerns over the proposed transfer structure.

The decision means the Serie A giants will now look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements, while the Atlas Lion fights for his place in Turkey.

Chiellini confirms talks are over

Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini confirmed that negotiations have ended after En-Nesyri expressed doubts about a loan move with an option to buy.

The Bianconeri had planned to bring the striker back from Istanbul for a medical, but director Marco Ottolini returned to Turin alone after talks stalled.

“The situation is pretty clear,” Chiellini told Sky Sport Italia. “We went to speak to the player, he expressed a few doubts on the formula of the transfer, so for us right now the negotiations are over. We cannot and do not want to buy him outright.”

Chiellini added: “We’ll see over the next few days if there are any developments or other opportunities, but for us it is over,” making it clear Juventus have drawn a line under the pursuit.

AFCON 2025 impact still fresh for Nigeria

En-Nesyri’s name remains fresh in Nigerian football circles after his role in Morocco’s AFCON 2025 campaign.

Although he had a quiet tournament and failed to start a single match, the Fenerbahçe striker made a decisive impact in the semifinals against Nigeria.

He did not repeat those heroics in the final, allowing Brahim Diaz to take a late penalty against Senegal, which was ultimately missed.
