Jose Peseiro: Saudi club chase former Super Eagles coach after impressive AFCON display
Saudi Arabian football club Al Riyadh is considering a move to appoint former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro as their new manager.
Reports have it that Al Riyadh is looking at appointing Jose Peseiro after failing to reach an agreement with coach, Odair Hellmann over a new contract.

Al Riyadh targets Jose Peseiro
According to Central do Arabão on X, Peseiro has attracted interest from the Saudi Professional League, with Al Riyadh negotiating with him as one of two candidates to succeed Brazilian coach Odair Hellmann.
The other candidate on the club's radar is Spanish coach Javier Pereira
Jose Peseiro, a Portuguese national, has been seeking a new opportunity since leaving his post as Super Eagles coach in February.

During his tenure, he led the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire.
It would be interesting to see if Peseiro can change the fortunes of Al Riyadh who finished 14th last season in the Saudi first division.
