Advancing directly to the final, both Tia and Tina Clayton were unable to match Smith's blistering pace. Smith shattered her own newly set track record, crossing the line in a remarkable 7.12 seconds to claim victory.

The race for second was incredibly tight, with both twins clocking identical times of 7.14 seconds. After a review, Tina was awarded second place, narrowly edging out her sister Tia, who finished third. The result marked a clean sweep for the Jamaican athletes from the MVP Track Club, with Sweden's Julia Henriksson finishing a distant fourth in 7.31.

Meanwhile, in the men's 60m final, Olympic and World Championship 100m silver medallist Kishane Thompson was unable to secure the win, finishing third with a time of 6.56 seconds. The race was won by Great Britain's Romell Glave, who set a new meet record of 6.51 seconds. His compatriot, Jeremiah Azu, took second place in 6.54s.
