Football nostalgia is set to light up Stamford Bridge this weekend as some of the biggest names in Chelsea history return to the pitch for the Chelsea Legends vs Liverpool Legends showdown.

The highly anticipated fixture will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 3pm (UK time), rekindling one of English football’s most iconic rivalries, this time for charity and celebration.

Chelsea’s first UEFA Champions League-winning manager, Roberto Di Matteo, will take charge of the Blues Legends, guiding a star-studded lineup packed with familiar faces from that unforgettable night in Munich 2012.

Fans can look forward to seeing club greats John Terry, Petr Čech, Gary Cahill, Ramires, John Obi Mikel, Salomon Kalou, and Florent Malouda back in action, alongside legends from different eras, including Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Claude Makélélé, Marcel Desailly, and Katie Chapman.

While former Ghana international Michael Essien misses out, the presence of other club icons ensures plenty of star power and nostalgia on display.

Supporters can watch the match live via the official Chelsea YouTube channel for £4.99, with all proceeds going to the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Players’ Trust, both of which support charitable and community initiatives.
