‘It’s the best feeling’ - Man United manager hails dramatic winner against Fulham

The Red Devils appeared to have squandered a two-goal advantage when a stunning stoppage-time strike from Fulham substitute Kevin looked set to secure a draw for the visitors.

However, £74 million summer signing Benjamin Sesko delivered a decisive blow in the 94th minute.

Man United secured a 3-2 win in the game, sealing a third consecutive win for Carrick's side since his appointment.

Speaking after the game, Carrick said, “It's the best feeling," said the interim manager and former Old Trafford midfielder. "That excitement is part of this club, and it’s not always the easiest way."

"Some of the best moments I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of here have come when you get a moment of elation and excitement like that. 

“We would like to win games a little bit more comfortably, but when they come along, it’s pretty special. There’s no better place in front of the Stretford End."

Carrick, who played under Sir Alex Ferguson in teams famous for late goals dubbed 'Fergie Time', added: "People leave here with more than just seeing a United win—it’s the connection, the feeling and the emotion. It’s why we all love it so much.”

The victory provided a moment of joy for home supporters following another protest against the club's ownership. 

Approximately 600 fans marched around Old Trafford, demanding that the Glazer family sell the club.
