However, according to the BBC, via GSP, Ronaldo will remain with Al Nassr, signing a contract extension for at least two more years.
Following Al Nassr's final league game, Ronaldo posted a cryptic message on social media: "Chapter closed," fueling speculation about his departure.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino later suggested Ronaldo might join a club qualified for the Club World Cup. Ronaldo himself confirmed receiving offers from participating clubs, but declined them.
After winning the Nations League with Portugal two weeks ago, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star has decided to stay in Saudi Arabia. He is also considering significant investments in the Gulf region.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2023 after leaving Manchester United. He has scored 99 goals in 111 appearances for the Saudi Arabian club, including 35 goals in 41 games this past season, making him the league's top scorer.
On Wednesday, Al Nassr parted ways with Italian coach Stefano Pioli after less than a year. The club finished the season in third place, 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad.
Following the announcement of Pioli's departure, Ronaldo posted online: "Thank you for everything!" Pioli is expected to become the new manager of Fiorentina.
