‘It's back to work’ - Bassey looking forward to win against Brighton after helping Fulham in FA Cup
Last weekend, Fulham achieved a historic victory by defeating Manchester United in the round of 16 of the English FA Cup.
Calvin Bassey delivered a standout performance, scoring Fulham's only goal, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw and the Cottagers winning on penalty shootout.
Fulham have now turned their attention to their Premier League match this weekend against Brighton at the American Express Stadium.
Bassey speaks on Brighton clash
Bassey emphasized that he and his teammates will remain focused and not become complacent leading up to the fixture.
Speaking to Fulham TV, he said, “You know how good Brighton are, there’s no easy game in this league.
“They are a team with a lot of quality so we are gonna have to make sure we are locked in for that one.
“We’ve had our days to celebrate, now it's back to work and make sure we are focused on the game on Saturday.”
A win for Fulham could propel them to 6th place, contingent on other results. This game holds significant importance for Fulham's aspirations.
Currently, they are only five points away from Champions League qualification, a goal that seems increasingly attainable.
