'It's almost unstoppable' - Ex-Super Eagles star hails Eberechi Eze freekick against Tottenham

Despite ending on the losing side with a 3-1 scoreline, Eze's moment of brilliance didn't go unnoticed.

" You give yourself a second chance to defend against the opposition but in truth when the quality comes from a player like Eze, it's almost unstoppable," Ekoku remarked, as reported by Allnigeriasoccer, during his commentary duties for the Premier League world feed. 

"Vicario central in the goal because he's got two walls to protect, his own and then the Palace one. Eze hits it on the strike of the ball and not quite side-netting but the pace of that free-kick is absolutely fantastic."

With the game hanging in balance at 0-0, Eze showcased his expertise by bending the ball past Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from a brilliant position just before the hour mark. 

Despite returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for four games, Eze made a memorable impact.

Tottenham Hotspur fought back to win the London derby, scoring three times in the final thirteen minutes of the contest through Timo Werner, Cristian Romero, and Heung-min Son.
