‘It’s all going as planned’ - Napoli boss Conte on board with Osimhen’s PSG move
Napoli manager Antonio Conte has revealed his stance on Victor Osimhen’s proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Osimhen set for PSG move
The Nigerian striker’s departure from Napoli has been the main talking point for the summer transfer window, with the Super Eagles star poised for a €120 million move to PSG.
According to reports, Osimhen’s agent is in talks with PSG, but there are no major updates regarding the Nigerian striker’s sale. Napoli are also eager for the sale to go through, as they require the funds from the sale to make moves of their own in the transfer window.
Conte has now revealed that he is confident that Osimhen’s move will be ratified and it will allow the club move forward on their targets.
Conte gives all clear for Osimhen move
Speaking on Osimhen’s potential move to PSG, Conte said, “The situation was already very clear.” The Italian gaffer further explained that the move is part of Napoli’s grand plan for the summer, saying, “I was aware of it. It’s all going as planned. To me, it’s not a surprise to wait.
“We face every situation in the right way. As I said, first, we re-aligned, now we evaluate, and then there will be sales and new signings. The vision is very clear. There will be no problems.”
If Osimhen’s sale goes on as planned, Napoli have already lined up Chelsea striker Lukaku as a replacement for the Super Eagles striker.
