The Nigeria international was immediately thrown into the deep end, making his debut in the 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

After struggling to get the better of the towering Dan Burn in his opener, and then battling against Leeds United’s tough defence, Arokodare quickly learned what the English game demands.

“In the first game, it was like WWE. I started to think, ‘Okay, that is how it is here. You have to literally punch someone in the face!’ I am getting to grips with that,” he told Sky Sports.

Despite Wolves losing their opening five league games, Arokodare has since found the net in the Carabao Cup against Everton, demonstrating that he possesses the tools and physicality required to help turn the tide for the club this weekend.
