Injury stops Nigeria's Linus Udofia from fight against Kieran Conway
British professional boxer of Nigerian descent Linus Udofia is will not return to the ring as soon as expected.
Udofia was set to take on Kieran Conway as a final eliminator for the British Middleweight title.
The statement by the board confirmed the fight between Udofia and Conway for May.
The statement said, "Following the withdrawal of Tyler Denny from the above final eliminator contest, the Stewards decided to approve a request from Eddie Hearn for the above contest which will take place on a date and venue to be advised."

Udofia has now confirmed that the fight with Conway will not take place on the scheduled date.

He made this known through a statement on his official social media platforms on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
In the post, Udofia confirmed that Conway is injured and will not be able to participate on a stacked card.
The message by Idofia said, "POSTPONED. I regret to inform you that my fight with Kieran has been postponed due to injury.
"I wish Kieran a speedy recovery. A new date will be confirmed later this year!

Udofia signed to Matchroom Boxing under British sports promoter Eddie Hearn was scheduled to take on Conway on the undercard of the Leigh Wood against Mauricio Lara title fight.
