Injured Cristiano Ronaldo fires Al Nassr to win Arab Club Champions Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo has finally won his first title since his move to Saudi Arabia.
On Saturday, August 12, 2023, Ronaldo led Al Nassr to a 2-1 victory against rivals Al Hilal in the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup.
Ronaldo has been in fine form all through the tournament, as his goal helped them progress to the knockout stages.

In a highly competitive final, there would be no goals scored by both sides in the first half.
However, in the 51st minute of the second half, Michael broke the deadlock to put Al Hilal in front.
In the 71st minute, things went from bad to worse for Ronaldo's Al Nassr as they were reduced to 10 men following a red card for Abdulelah Al-Amri.
Ronaldo would respond for Al Nassr with the equalizer from a ball by Sadio Mane in the 74th minute.
Despite playing with 10 men, Al Nassr were able to hold Al Hilal forcing extra time.
In the 98th minute of extra time, Ronaldo proved to be the hero connecting his head to a ball off the bar.

As the game continued, Ronaldo was injured and was replaced by Ali Alhassan in the 115th minute.
Injured on the bench, Ronaldo continued to motivate his Al Nassr teammates as they held on to win the game.
It was another historic outing for Ronaldo as his two goals sealed the win.
The victory means that the Arab Club Champions Cup is Ronaldo's first trophy with Al Nassr since he moved to Saudi Arabia from Manchester United.
