Ikorodu City make history becomes 10th Lagos-based club promoted to NPFL

Lagos is known for its hub of sporting activities in the country with its involvement and contribution, Ikorodu City became the 10th Lagos-based club to gain promotion to the elite Football League in the Country since it became Professional in 1989/1990.

Ikorodu City promoted on Wednesday to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) alongside Beyond Limits fter dominating the Southern Conference of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs.

The Oga boys secured promotion with a convincing 2-0 victory over Madiba FC, thanks to a brace from Toheeb Ayejigbe to finish second in the conference.

Ikorodu City's promotion adds another chapter to Lagos' rich football history as they join Stationary Stores, MFM, Sporting Lagos, and other Clubs to play in the elite football league in Nigeria from Lagos.
