The 27-year-old propelled his side Rizespor to a 2-3 away victory against Samsunspor on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

In a top-of-the-table clash, Samsunspor went in front in the 23rd minute through an own goal by Samet Akaydin.

Emre Kilinc doubled the advantage for the home side in the 41st minute as they went to the break with a two-goal cushion.

Rizespor took off Nigerian star Babajide David but his teammate and Super Eagles hopeful Ibrahim Olawoyin's shot was deflected in as an own goal for Lubomir Satka to give the away side a lifeline.

In the 86th minute, Rizespor were level with the equalizer from Ali Sowe.

Olawoyin again then turned provider for the winner by Altin Zeqiri in the 88th minute to seal the comeback win.

Olawoyin has been in red-hot form in Turkey and is targeting a call-up by new coach Eric Chelle for the upcoming Super Eagles 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
