'I don't regret in life' — Haaland speaks on aggression against Gabriel in Arsenal vs Man City
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland recently addressed his altercation with Gabriel Maghalaes during his team's draw against Arsenal.
What happened
Haaland opened the scoring for Manchester City in the top-of-table clash against Mikel Arteta's side. However, he has to watch helplessly as his team let the lead slip away.
Goals from defenders Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel helped Arsenal equalise and take the lead. The Gunners, down to ten men, looked set to coast to victory, but a late John Stones strike helped Manchester City snatch a point.
After the England international struck past David Raya, Haaland picked up the ball and pelted it at Gabriel, an action that has attracted criticism. Despite the flagrant nature of the incident, the Norwegian did not face retrospective action.
What Haaland said
The 24-year-old is now with the Norway national team, and in a press conference, he was asked if he regretted throwing the ball at the Brazil star.
🔵🇳🇴 Erling Haaland on what happened with Gabriel: “In the heat of the moment things happened in that game. What happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch. That’s how it is”.

He dismissed that notion, explaining that it happened in the heat of the game. He told reporters that he did not regret the action, as he does not regret things in life.
“I don’t regret much in life,” said Haaland. “In the heat of the moment, things happened in that game. What happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch. That’s how it is.”
