‘I can not'—Leao explains why he is different from AC Milan legend Ibrahimovic

Leao has been one of AC Milan’s best players since joining the club in 2019, becoming one of the most sought-after wingers.

The winger recently helped AC Milan win the Italian Super Cup trophy this season, defeating Inter Milan in the final.

After falling behind Inter Milan by two goals in the final, which they won 3-2, AC Milan had to rally to win the title.

Leao has explained the importance of Ibrahimovic and claimed he is a good example to him and others.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview, he said, “(Laughs) Never. Zlatan is too important a person, he puts it into my head that I have to raise the level on every occasion to try to always win. 

“He has a career full of successes and I cannot compare myself to him: he is an example. For me and for others. He knows what it takes to win and tries to transmit it to each of us.”

Meanwhile, Leao has spoken out about Paulo Fonseca, the previous manager of AC Milan, benching him for a few games.
