‘I am satisfied’ - Atalanta manager happy with Lookman’s defensive performance

Atalanta dropped valuable points in their challenge for the Serie A title on Saturday against Udinese.

The Italian giants played a 0-0 draw with Udinese away from home and dropped to second position in the Serie A table.

Despite their poor performance in the game, Atalanta's manager singled out Lookman for his defensive display in the game.

Gasperini has claimed that he is pleased with Lookman’s performance in Atalanta’s draw against Udinese.

According to Eurosport, Gasperini said, “I am satisfied with the sacrifice of Lookman and De Ketelaere. They tried to do their best, even in defense. 

"There are no criticisms to make about the commitment. We found a physical team that put us in difficulty."

Lookman committed fouls on Martin Payero and Sandi Lovric in the ninth and eighteenth minutes, respectively, as part of multiple defensive plays.

He was the dirtiest player statistically during Saturday afternoon's goalless draw between Atalanta and Udinese in Serie A.
