'I always supported Chelsea' — Sancho sends dig to Man United amid fine form
Jadon Sancho has revealed that he grew up supporting Chelsea, citing Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba as his childhood heroes.
The England winger, who joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United, has been in excellent form for the Blues, a stark contrast to his struggles at Old Trafford over the past two years.
Sancho's resurgence at Chelsea has been impressive, and he's quickly become a fan favorite.
Speaking ahead of the Blues Premier League clash with Everton, Sancho said:
“It’s still a bit weird to me… but it’s always good to be home. My family is close."
The 24-year-old winger also credited Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca for his role in his decision to join the club.
"I always supported Chelsea as a kid because of Lampard and Drogba, and speaking to Enzo Maresca before I came here, he was determined to work with me.”
Sancho is expected to be in the starting lineup as Chelsea takes on Everton this weekend.
