‘He doesn't slack off’ - Ex-Turkish referee heaps praise on Osimhen’s exceptional professional ethics

Osimhen has backed up this praise with his performance on the pitch, continuing his impressive form by scoring upon his return to the Süper Lig. 

The Super Eagles forward was instrumental in Galatasaray's 3-1 win against Fatih Karagümrük on Saturday, scoring the team's third goal.

Having recently returned from international duty with Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Osimhen's latest goal brings his season total to 13 in 17 appearances across all competitions.

Drawing on his extensive experience in European and Turkish football, Çakar identified Osimhen's unique combination of discipline, commitment, and competitive drive as qualities that distinguish him from his contemporaries.

During an appearance on the Libero TV YouTube channel, Çakar shared his insights on the Nigerian international. 

"Osimhen is a very strange kid. I don't know him personally, but from watching his matches, his professional dedication and ethics are perhaps number one at Galatasaray," he stated, as reported by habersarikirmizi.

Çakar elaborated on Osimhen's on-field demeanor, highlighting his demanding nature and sense of responsibility. 

"He doesn't accept things passively; he shouts at his teammates, he doesn't slack off," Çakar explained. "He returns to Türkiye when his job is done; he doesn't miss his flight."

The ex-referee also commended the striker's relentless work rate, emphasizing that his impact goes beyond just scoring goals. 

"He's a player with very high professional ethics. Even if he doesn't score, I take my hat off to the fight he shows," he added.
