'Get him out, and he becomes twice the player' - Napoli President claims there is a fault affecting Garnacho at Man United
Garnacho is reportedly among several Manchester United players who have expressed their desire to leave the club this summer.
He has struggled to maintain consistent form under manager Amorim and has been linked with a move to the Serie A champions, who acquired Scott McTominay from the Red Devils last season.
Napoli wants Garnacho
Once touted as a future star at United after breaking through under former manager Erik ten Hag, Garnacho has faced challenges with consistency this past season.
He was notably left out of the starting lineup for the Europa League final loss to Tottenham. De Laurentiis believes a move to Napoli would unlock Garnacho's full potential.
"Garnacho's got pace, flair, and potential," De Laurentiis stated, as reported by Goal. "But that's not even why we want him. We want him because he's at United. Get him out, and he becomes twice the player. There's a fault at United that I can't explain."
Garnacho has recently drawn criticism from United fans for his social media activity, including posting a picture of himself wearing an Aston Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford's name on the back. Rashford is another player rumoured to be considering a departure from Old Trafford.
Should Garnacho join Napoli, he would reunite with former Manchester United teammate Scott McTominay. He would also be joining a Champions League side that has already bolstered its ranks with the free transfer of Premier League legend Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City.
