Messi to miss Monaco game but not Bayern Munich game

Messi was injured in PSG’s Coupe de France loss to Marseille and has been ruled out for the Ligue 1 fixture against Monaco. Still, Galtier has said that the Argentine forward will resume training on Monday and is not a doubt for PSG’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Speaking ahead of PSG’s tie with Monaco, Galtier told reporters, "He will resume training on Monday, the day before the game against Bayern Munich. So you can leave the term 'doubtful' aside."

Messi could be key for PSG against Bayern Munich

Messi has been in great form for PSG this season and helped them to victory in their last Ligue 1 game against Toulouse with a brilliant goal. He will certainly be missed when Les Parisiens take on Monaco.

PSG and Galtier will undoubtedly be glad to have him back for their Champions League tie, and they will be hoping that he continues his form from the group stages of the competition.

Messi played UCL five group stage games for PSG and scored four goals while assisting four more.

PSG, will most likely be without French star forward Kylian Mbappe when they host Bayern Munich so they will need Messi to be at his best if they have any hopes of beating the Bavarians and continuing their journey towards a first-ever UEFA Champions League title in the club’s history.
