Galatasaray pull off another historic signing weeks after record-breaking Victor Osimhen transfer coup
Turkish giants Galatasaray Istanbul have continued their spree of high-profile signings by securing the services of 24-year-old defender Wilfried Singo from AS Monaco, in a move that has captured widespread attention.
The club reportedly paid a hefty transfer fee of around €30.7 million for Singo, making him the second most expensive player in the history of the Turkish Süper Liga milestone proudly announced on Galatasaray’s official social media channels.
This transfer follows closely on the heels of their recent record-breaking acquisition of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
According to the official statement, Galatasaray and AS Monaco Football Club SAM reached an agreement on the transfer of professional footballer Wilfried Stephane Singo for a net fee of €30,769,230.77.
Additionally, Monaco is entitled to 10% of the profit from any future sale of the player, according to the club on their social media account.
Singo has committed to a five-year contract with Galatasaray, effective from the 2025-2026 season, accompanied by a guaranteed net salary of €4.8 million per season.
Prior to the transfer, Singo featured on the bench for Monaco in their first two fixtures of the current Ligue 1 season. His move to Turkey signals Galatasaray’s intent to strengthen their defensive options significantly.
Earlier this summer, Galatasaray stunned the football world by signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli on a permanent deal worth €75 million, setting a new record transfer fee in the Turkish league.

The Istanbul club also bolstered their attacking ranks by bringing in winger Leroy Sané from Bayern Munich, underlining its ambition to compete vigorously on both domestic and European fronts.
With these marquee signings, including Osimhen’s arrival and now Singo’s addition to the defence, Galatasaray is positioning itself for a formidable campaign in the Süper Lig and beyond.
