From DMs to 'I Do' in 24 Hours: Noah Lyles & Junelle Bromfield to seal Olympic love story with epic wedding

Olympic sprint sensation Noah Lyles has lit up social media with a champagne-soaked photo of himself and fiancée Junelle Bromfield in glamorous evening wear.

The caption said it all: “24h till we say ‘I do’.”

With their Georgia wedding set for April 4, 2026, the track world’s ultimate power couple is one day away from blending gold-medal legacies with a romance that started with a simple DM slide.

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield’s story began in 2017 when Bromfield boldly messaged Lyles on social media.

Their first face-to-face meeting in 2018 stayed platonic—long-distance training schedules and separate national teams kept sparks from flying.

But by 2022, friendship turned romantic after Lyles proposed a three-month dating trial. They’ve been inseparable ever since, openly cheering each other through injuries, triumphs, and the relentless grind of elite sprinting.

The couple now shares a home in Orlando, Florida, and also celebrated buying their dream house together.

The proposal in October 2024 was pure magic in Miami: a heart-shaped floral setup, glowing candles, a custom “Will you marry me?” sign, and family close by.

Lyles nearly forgot the ring (his sister saved the moment), then delivered an emotional, unscripted speech inspired by 1 Corinthians about finding peace and vulnerability. Bromfield said yes through tears.

They’ve kept wedding details intimate but teased anime nods reflecting their shared pop-culture love, Jamaican heritage in the cuisine and vendors, and a vintage Italian theme.

Both athletes arrive at the altar as decorated Olympians and world champions.

Noah Lyles, the reigning 2024 Paris Olympic 100m gold medalist (personal best 9.79) and two-time 200m Olympic bronze medalist is one of sprinting’s all-time greats.

He holds the American 200m record (19.31) and boasts eight World Championship golds, including four straight 200m titles through 2025, plus multiple relay golds.
