Before either club officially announced the transfer, the 21-year-old was spotted in the stands during Chelsea's 2-0 home victory against Fulham on Saturday.

Shortly after the match, Chelsea confirmed the deal, revealing Garnacho has signed a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2032.

"It's an incredible moment for my family and me to join this great club," Garnacho said.

"I can't wait to get started. I watched the Club World Cup and to join the world champions is special — we're the best team in the world! It's amazing to be here and I'm very happy."

The Argentina international had been training separately from the main squad at Carrington while his future was being sorted out.

Garnacho, who has scored 16 goals in 93 Premier League appearances, will provide another attacking option for Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca.
