Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, have long divided Premier League fans, courtesy of their dazzling displays on the pitch.

However, according to a newly released value ranking by the CIES Football Observatory, Palmer has officially leapfrogged Arsenal’s golden boy, Bukayo Saka, in estimated transfer value.

The figures show estimate Palmer’s transfer value between a hefty £95million and £120m.

Meanwhile, Saka’s transfer value is now estimated at £84m to £106m.

What’s made the difference? Contract length.

Palmer’s deal with Chelsea runs just a year shorter than Haaland’s jaw-dropping 10-year commitment to Man City.

Meanwhile, Saka is only tied to the Emirates until 2027, putting a dent in his valuation.

The CIES model heavily weighs contract duration in determining a player’s price tag and clearly, Palmer’s longer contract boosts his worth.

Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland remains the undisputed king of Premier League value.

With a staggering price tag between £188million and £239m, thanks to his 2034 contract with Manchester City, the Norwegian goal-machine is on course to rival Neymar’s world-record £200m PSG move.

However, there are some other shockers as Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers makes the top four, valued at £74m–£94m.

Interestingly, Liverpool’s most expensive player isn’t Mohamed Salah or Trent-Alexander Arnold.

Ryan Gravenberch claims that title with his transfer value estimated as high as £90m.

Manchester United’s struggling striker Rasmus Hojlund still manages a £62m–£79m valuation, even as fans question the return on that £72m investment.

Rasmus Hojlund has scored only three goals in the Premier League this season for Man United.

At the bottom end, names like Jarrad Branthwaite and Marc Guehi are valued far below the £70m-plus price tags slapped on their services last summer.

Guehi, in particular, comes in under £30m with his Crystal Palace contract winding down.
