Former Chelsea star, Florent Malouda has weighed in on the possibility of Jose Mourinho moving to the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Mourinho, currently managing the Turkish giants, Fenerbahce will be among the many football enthusiasts observing the 2026 FIFA World Cup in America.
However, whispers suggest that the allure of the "American dream" might tempt him across the Atlantic in the not-too-distant future.
His current deal in Istanbul is set to conclude next summer, potentially paving the way for a fresh challenge.
What Malouda said
Meanwhile, the former France international Malouda, who played under Mourinho at Chelsea, weighed in on the possibility while speaking on behalf of bet365 said, "Jose Mourinho in MLS? That depends on the franchise,"
Malouda also pointed out the current timing as a potential hurdle, given the MLS season starts around February or March, making an immediate impact difficult.
However, he sees a more opportune moment after the upcoming World Cup.
He added, "But after the World Cup, football will be more developed and there will be even more franchises, someone like him would be great for the show.”
The charismatic Portuguese tactician, renowned for his stints at top European clubs including Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, is known for bringing both intensity and drama wherever he goes.
