Financial difficulties - Real Madrid considering Vinicius sale following breakdown in contract negotiation
Real Madrid are reportedly considering selling Vinicius Junior during this transfer window if a tempting offer comes in for the Brazilian forward.
They deem the activation of his €1 billion release clause highly improbable.
Madrid could let Vinicus leave
According to Sportal, the possibility of Los Blancos parting ways with the Brazilian international hinges on his financial demands.
His current contract, valid until June 30, 2027, stipulates a net salary of €15 million per season, but the player wants parity with Kylian Mbappé.
Although Mbappé's contract is also for €15 million net, due to his arrival on a free transfer, an additional €40 million spread over five seasons was agreed upon. This adds €8 million to his annual €15 million, totaling €23 million per season.
According to the report, Real Madrid are unwilling to meet Vinicius' demands, potentially paving the way for his departure. His future will become clearer in the coming weeks.
