Mardy Fish jokingly disputed Roger Federer's GOAT status on X (formerly Twitter), responding to a user's claim, as reported by Sportal.

"Roger Federer is the greatest player to ever hold a racket," the user wrote.

Fish replied, "Can't be the greatest if he lost to me. Sorry, not my rules."

The American is known for his dry wit. Fish defeated the Swiss star once in nine meetings – in the 2008 Indian Wells semifinals.

He also holds a victory over Rafael Nadal, alongside eight losses, and is 0-7 against Novak Djokovic. Fish retired in 2015. His highest ranking was world No. 7 in 2011.
