What Raphinha said

Recent speculation suggested the Brazilian could be tempted by a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League next summer, but the 27-year-old has moved quickly to shut down the rumours.

“I don’t know where they get so much nonsense from, really,” Raphinha said in an interview with Barcelona’s official website. “It’s just fake news that always seems to come out.”

While addressing transfer reports, Raphinha also opened up about his fiery on-field personality, saying his behaviour is sometimes misunderstood by teammates.

“I often feel like I’m being a bit pushy, too much. There are many times my teammates think I talk too much, that I’m annoying, and that I demand too much from them, but that’s just who I am,” he admitted.

The winger stressed his intention is always to help the team win and push others to reach their full potential.

Raphinha explained that his intensity comes from high standards rather than frustration, revealing he expects more from players he believes can deliver.

“I demand more from people who I know can give much more. Someone has to, and I accept this responsibility. Then, in the dressing room, we hug and celebrate the victory,” he added.

Despite rumours, the Brazilian remains focused on Barcelona’s season and reiterated that his future remains in Spain, not Saudi Arabia.
