Ex-Flying Eagles midfielder enjoys winning debut after completing League Two move
Former Flying Eagles midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh celebrated his Swindon Town debut in style as he helped the Robins return to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Notts County.
The 24-year-old came off the bench to play the final five minutes of Friday's crucial League Two clash at the County Ground.
It proved the perfect introduction for Ofoborh after completing his permanent move to Swindon from Bournemouth earlier this week after EFL approval.
The combative Nigerian has joined Swindon in a bid to reignite his career in England after struggling for regular minutes at Vitaly and Ibrox over the past seasons.
Ofoborh had previously shone during a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers, where he played a key role in their promotion to the Championship in 2019/20.
Flying Eagles Pedigree
Capped three times by Nigeria's U20 side at the 2019 World Cup, Ofoborh will be hoping to quickly rediscover his best form at the County Ground.
He arrives in Wiltshire boasting an impressive pedigree after captaining Bournemouth's U18s and winning their Young Player of the Year award in 2017/18.
With Swindon pushing for promotion from the fourth tier themselves, Ofoborh's energy and bite in midfield could prove a valuable asset.
The Super Eagles hopeful looks set for an immediate opportunity to stake his claim under new Robins boss Gavin Gunning.
And after a dream debut with three points against Notts County, Ofoborh will be eager to kick on and play a starring role in Swindon's promotion push.
