The talented youngster, who is also wanted by the Nigerian Super Eagles remained committed to Palace after putting pen to paper on a new four-year deal.

But after his latest run of form, a former Chelsea defender, Jason Cundy, believes that Olise is too good to remain at Selhurst Park.

According to him, the Anglo-Nigerian winger is a top-draw talent who can now walk into a Premier League team now, including champions, Manchester City

“I want to talk about Michael Olise at Crystal Palace,” Cundy told the talkSport Breakfast.

“That kid, for me, I think he can go into any team in the Premier League right now, including Manchester City.

“Palace fans won’t thank me for saying this but this kid is going to the very top,” he added. “He is too good for Palace.”

Olise came close to joining Chelsea last summer but made a remarkable turnaround to stay at Palace. Cundy added that it was a good move by all concerned.

“Chelsea, apparently, nearly signed him in the summer, didn’t happen, (they) signed Cole Palmer instead -that’s been a pretty good move for him, by the way,” he concluded.
