Liechtenstein never stood a chance and had goalkeeper, Benjamin Buchel to thank for keeping the score respectable against Portugal.
Portugal fired 35 shots against Liechtenstein with 11 of them on target, leaving Buchel with seven difficult saves to make despite conceding four goals.
A Selecao were ahead after only eight minutes, as Joao Cancelo opened the scoring with a long-range effort to put Portugal 1-0 up.
Portugal doubled their lead two minutes after halftime as Bernardo Silva made it 2-0, before Ronaldo scored his first of the night from the penalty spot to put the home side 3-0 up.
