Honour of my life — Emotional Liverpool legend Firmino describes time at the club
Liverpool legend Roberto Firmino has described his time at the club as the honour of his life.
Firmino has been saying his goodbyes as he departs the club after eight successful years at Anfield.
The Brazilian who joined from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015 will leave the club this summer as a legend.
Firmino’s emotional speech
The 31-year-old was a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s project which led to the club winning every available title.
Firmino made 362 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring 111 goals including two on his final outing at Anfield and for the club.
He also won the Premier League and Champions League during a successful time with the Reds.
But with this season his last at the club, Firmino has been overwhelmed by the send off he has received from fans of the club.
As per TalkSport, Firmino shared a video of his send off party and was seen talking about his time at the club which he described as an honour of a lifetime.
"I didn't know how positively crazy and how passionate the people who work at this club are, and how much this club and this stadium means to them,” he said.
"And the truth, the truth is I never could have dreamed that it was possible to achieve what we achieved together. It has been the honour of my life so far to have been a part of this Liverpool family. You’ll Never Walk Alone."
