Emmanuel Emenike: Ex-Super Eagles star's marriage reportedly crashes years after allegedly dumping BBNaija star

Sources who did not want to be named told Pulse Sports Nigeria that there are signs that  Emmanuel Emenike’s marriage to Iheoma Nnadi has hit the rocks. 

The former Super Eagles of Nigeria striker has been married to ex-beauty queen Iheoma Nnadi for 6 years.

The couple have seemingly enjoyed a beautiful relationship until rumours of a rift emerged in 2022 after the pair unfollowed each other on popular social media platform Instagram.

However, the couple soon followed each other once more and were understood to have reconciled later that same year until they unfollowed each other again in 2023.

Weeks ago, Pulse Sports reported that Emenike and his wife Iheoma apparently unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Emenike also deleted all photos of his wife from his official Instagram page which boasts more than 314,000 followers.

Iheoma Nnadi did not immediately return the gesture as well despite unfollowing the former Nigeria international.

However, weeks later, the 2014 beauty queen seemingly cleared her Instagram page of all posts of Emenike, including her viral wedding photos with the former Fenerbahce striker.

And reports have now suggested Emenike’s marriage could now be well and truly over amid the crisis in his union with Iheoma Nnadi.

A source close to the couple told Pulse Sports that the pair have endured a frosty relationship in recent months, while also revealing that the marriage has indeed broken down.

Iheoma Nnadi has also changed her profile name on Instagram and removed ‘Emenike’ from her bio.

However, neither the former Super Eagles star nor the ex-beauty queen have publicly confirmed the news of their split.

Pulse Sports has reached out to both parties for a comment but is yet to get a response.

The news of Emenike’s marriage crisis also comes years after it was reported that he tied the knot with Iheoma Nnadi, while he was in a relationship with famous Big Brother Nigeria star, Mercy Eke.

Mercy, who is currently a housemate in the ongoing Big Brother Naija All-Stars season, was reported to have disclosed in 2019 that she was in a relationship with Emenike when she heard that he got married to Iheoma Nnadi, according to multiple media outlets like Legit and Daily Post.

The report claimed she found out about the marriage plans via social media, and all her attempts to reach the player proved futile after she found out he had blocked her everywhere.

Mercy reportedly made the revelation in the house to fellow housemate Elozonam during the Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ season in 2019, which she eventually emerged as the winner.

Mercy allegedly revealed that Emenike loved her but ultimately dumped her because she was a “nobody” at that time.

News reports said the beautiful reality star also added that the situation at that time pushed her determination to become successful and to become a celebrity.

However, to date, Emenike never confirmed he was in a relationship with the Big Brother Naija star.
