Barcelona hit back before half-time. In the 40th minute, Ferran made no mistake after good work from Frenkie de Jong, receiving the ball in the area and converting with a composed right-footed finish to restore the visitors’ advantage going into the break.
The decisive third goal came in the 72nd minute after sustained Barca pressure. A teasing cross from Yamal caused confusion in the Elche box, and Marcus Rashford was quickest to react, slamming home from close range to make it 3–1 and put the result beyond doubt
