They will now battle the Young Pharaohs of Egypt for a chance to win a bronze medal.

The Flying Eagles defeated Egypt 2-1 in a friendly match leading up to the tournament.

Egypt are hosts for the 2025 U-20 AFCON and were able to book a ticket for the FIFA U-20 Men's World Cup

After defeating South Africa 1-0 to start the campaign, Egypt suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat to Sierra Leone and a goalless draw with Zambia.

They then concluded their group campaign with a 1-0 victory over Tanzania.

In the quarterfinals, they defeated Ghana on penalties after a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.

In the North African derby, Egypt suffered a 1-0 loss to Morocco in the semifinal.
