'Disgraceful' — Paul Scholes blasts Rashford over behaviour at Man Utd and Barcelona
Rashford, who joined Barcelona on a summer loan from United, was reportedly dropped from the starting lineup for a match against Getafe after arriving late to a pre-match meeting.
This incident echoes a similar one in December 2022, when his former United manager Erik ten Hag also benched him for oversleeping and missing a team meeting.
The 27-year-old who scored his first goals for Barcelona in a 2-1 win against Newcastle in the Champions League last week, eventually came on to assist Dani Olmo in the win over Getafe.
Reacting to the news of Rashford's latest disciplinary issue, Scholes expressed his frustration on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast.
“I really struggle to feel happy for Marcus Rashford,” Scholes stated.
“Mainly because of his attitude. His attitude towards Man United towards the end was disgraceful. The amount of times I saw him walking because he wanted to leave… His whole demeanour about him was a disgrace.”

Scholes believes Rashford's actions at United set a concerning precedent.
“I think he quit on Man Utd. When you quit once, you’ll quit again. He was late last night [for Barcelona].
"He wont get away with that for long at Barca. There’s absolutely no chance.”
