According to MailSport, Jota and his younger brother Andre Silva suffered the accident in Zamora, Spain on the A-52 at Cernadilla just after midnight.
Jota was driving a Lamborghini when one of the tyres blew out, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
The car subsequently rolled off the road and burst into flames, with emergency services trying and failing to rescue the footballers.
This tragic incident comes less than two weeks after Jota married Rute Cardoso, the mother of his three children, in Portugal.
Jota was coming off the back of an incredible 2024-25 season, where he won the Premier League with Liverpool, Nations League with Portugal, and capped it with marriage to the love of his life.
