Daniel Otieno returns to haunt Gor Mahia and hand Mathare crucial win

Prolific Mathare United forward Daniel Otieno returned to haunt his former employers Gor Mahia as he netted the winner to hand the Slum Boys three crucial points from a 2-1 win over the table toppers in a league clash staged at the Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday.

David Kibet opened the scoring for the Slum Boys in the eighth minute with Omala equalizing mid way through the second half for his 17th goal of the season but Otieno won it for Mathare with eight minutes left on the clock.

Mathare withered a late storm from Gor Mahia to collect three vital points that lifted them out of the relegation zone.
