Atletico Madrid have been drawn to face Barcelona in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey, after they made light work of Real Betis in the round of eight.
Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman was the star of the show in Atleti’s triumph, scoring and assisting to help Los Rojiblancos beat Real Betis 5–0 at La Cartuja to advance to the next round of the competition.
Diego Simeone will hope that the former La Dea forward shows the same decisive quality when they face the defending champions, Barcelona, a team he has a terrible record against.
The dates for the matches are yet to be confirmed; however, Atleti will host the first-leg at the Wanda Metropolitano on the 10th, 11th or 12th of February. The second-leg will be played at the Camp Nou on the 3rd, 4th or 5th of March.
